I would love to shove this episode up the nose of the poms who incessantly tell me that a .222 or .223 is unethical on red deer. Utter bollocks. To be fair there’s been a few on this forum that have said the same thing. Eat my shorts. Impressed with the dogs too. Another fantastic story from Willy and Greg, well done.
They are on tvnz on demand bro so can't see any reason why ya mates can't internet them sweet as

Unethical could be any caliber, unsurprisingly its all about shot placement

    Another top watch. Cheers fellas

Great show of the Ruahine hunt. Have visited the Longview and Daphine huts years back and would like to do Howletts if the knees would let me, great country and excellent shooting especially with the little 222. A caliber that punches above it's size that's for sure.

Plenty of animals out and about, and all seemed to be great condition. The long shot in the rain with 4x power scope with the 222 that Willey pulled off was pretty amazing. I thought Gregg was pulling his tit when he told him to neck shoot it ?!
No doubt Gregg's ears are still ringing from the muzzle blast from that braked magnum that went off next to him while filming.

Yeah he was getting pretty insistent trying to reign Derek in from shooting another great show, some tidy shooting from Willie with the Vixen
Shut up, get out & start pushing!

    Ripper start to the season.

Both episodes so far have been excellent. Especially enjoyed the Ruahine one.

Two great episodes so far. I enjoyed the "gutless" boning out demo. I'll be using that a bit over the next few months, sick of carrying bones and skin...

Tonight's episode takes us into a very remote and hard to get at part of South Westland to explore some new country and see how the tahr herd has come through the recent culling.

Those shots of the climb in the steep snow made me queasy. I'm usually good with heights, but you can keep that for a laugh. I'll stick to bush stalking I think.
