    Alone Australia 2

Not sure which thread to put this in. Just discovered that Alone Australia 2 was filmed in Fiordland - all around Lake Manapouri. 10 Aussies all armed with recurve bows trying to survive as long as they can on the shores of the lake. I've watched all the North American series and they're generally pretty good entertainment albeit with a bit of dramatic licence. Anyway it will be interesting to see if any contestants manage to arrow a deer. It's on TVNZ+ which is a bummer because there are a few adds.

Gave up on the first Australian series. Was crap compared to the US ones - contestants were pathetic. Will give this series a watch but won’t be holding my breath.

Yes the first Aussie series was utter crap. At least this series has a location where you're actually allowed to hunt something. Please don't judge us all on what you see. I'm sure they pick 1 or 2 who can win it and the rest on 'diversity'.

Seen the first two episodes, hopefully it gets good. OZ and UK versions have been crap.

Started watching and cool to see the Fiordland scenery. I spent a week alone in Fiordland, could have definitely stayed longer if $250k was up for grabs haha.

I see one guy got pulled out before the end of second night. Didn’t seem like he has spent many nights in the bush before.

To be fair to the guy he did have chest pains so it was a medical withdrawl.

Yep have watched the first 2 episodes tonight, that other woman will be gone next since she isn't eating and is a veggie anyway.

Have enjoyed the US versions over the years. The last few seasons have all got a bit samey as they've all been Arctic based- they last a couple weeks before it starts freezing and the fishing dies off and it gets tough. Not that I mind an Arctic season, but they should keep it fresh and keep doing new locations.

The first Aus season was terrible. I got about halfway through before stopping. The new season is much more enjoyable so far. The first few eps are usually pretty slow burning though other than maybe one tap out.

They aren't allowed to keep eels.

I just wouldn't film myself eating one.

I'm sure you saw my thread on the first season: https://www.nzhuntingandshooting.co....v-show-100802/

Is it more of the same? Not sure I could bear it!

Did they give a reason why not?
