    Amax'd!!! (warning graphic image)

    I thought I post this pic of a head shot goat. I took the shot from 180y and thought I'd try my luck on a head shot as it was the only part of the goat I could get a clear shot on.



    Needless to say it was a fatal hit

    Post up your pics if you have some of similar or interesting shots you've pulled off etc...and put a quick story with it.

    Yes; Toby summed it up well with the above. Long story short - I watched the goat walking along, but where it stopped its shoulder was obscured by short scrub (tee tree & gorse), but its head was clearly sticking out...hence the head shot.

    Calibre was 7mmWSM, 63.2gr AR2213sc, Fed GM primer and the 162amax at ~2980fps.

    223 50gr varmint bullet looks like amax but has a grey tip.

    Yea tho in the back of the noggin they wouldn't have even heard the shot let alone felt it.
    For the record tho i don't like head shots. I only shot these in the head because i was unsure how the 50gr varmint bullet would go on a neck shot.
