All good fellas. I had to fix the link on the PC. For some reason when I try and edit a post for spelling for a broken link on the iPad in Chrome it won’t work, I’ll work it out.

There was a book written about heli work by a bloke with long hair who wore an orange jumpsuit, was a pioneer of a sort, highly regarded. Who was that, anyone know? Really want to get hold of that book.

It is interesting to listen to those old blokes talk about their escapades. They certainly took some risks doing what they did.

Not being a smart ass but you just described 99% of the guys I worked with in the industry. [emoji16]

They're all pioneers of some sort.
Tim Wallis was the true pioneer of venison and capture work.

No doubt Wallis was a major influence, but weren't the real pioneers Graham Stewart and Co?

Depends who you want to believe. It has been argued since the mid 60's

Milt Sills? Was the first pilot on an operation up behind Wanaka organised by Tim and some local cullers. Like Frank Wolf. I had a brew with Frank just about everyday for years. When you could get him to open up he was a wealth of knowledge.

It is sort of like who invented the net gun.
All sorts of people claim the accolade but I have seen evidence of it being built by a very talented gunsmith from Kowhitirangi a bit before most claims.
