I had a bit of a not so good day and I decide I must take my rifle for a walk, so I got it and off I went to my "local" spot, left home a little late than I would like, so I kind push my "fitness" to get up as quick I could.
At I arrived the only thing I could see was some wild sheep, so I keep walking to the area where I saw signs few days early when the weather was "VERY" bad, and surprising I spot 2 hinds feeding calm and peacefully, the wind in my favour and after another few steps(crawling) I could not find a "decent" spot for a very stable shot so after few minutes thinking and rethinking I decide to have a off hand shot, "BOOM" and I misty it, reload aim and "boom" I missed it again, the two hinds walk 5 meters and stop looking at me and only them knew what was going on in their mind, so I load again, walk another 5 meters and rest the rifle in the wobbly fence wire, boom, one was down.
I walk to it and it was just waiting for me, to my surprise as I start to gut it all the belly crap blow out it all over the rear quarter, danm it, there goes my meat. Plans Changed and only back steaks and front legs come home, what a waste.
Checking why all the bad shooting I did find out/realise my windage turret has rub into my backpack few days back and when I readjust it I turn it in the wrong way, so, 5MOA turned to the right and all my off hand shots aiming to the chest was going behind the deer ass.
Stupid me, lesson learned, check/sight your rifle every time something goes wrong with it.
All the best!
