Am planning a wee walk about in the Kawekas some time over the next 2 weeks. Is there any snow about yet?

theres snow somewhere , been blardy cold here...
according to the weatherman there's plenty coming later this week
@Tahr
I believe there will be a significant snow fall this weekend due to the low pressure system approaching.
I can't see the Kaweka at the moment due to the rain, maybe it's snowing up there right now.
It's also been quite cold and frosty here this week.

After awhile you realise the Pig loves it.
Thanks chaps. I see that its shit this Friday and then clearing. I might get in after that goes through but for a challenging tops walk by myself I've probably left it too late. I will probably go Lakes/Kiwi Saddle/Castle Camp and maybe Rogue Ridge or back the way I came. If its shit at least I have KS & CC to hold up in.
Cheers
I see them from my deck - loads of white stuff last weekend. Was too foggy this morning to notice, sorry. Will have a peek after work

She loves the free fresh wind in her hair; Life without care. She's broke but it's oke; that's why the lady is a tramp.

No snow yesterday BC abut a fair bit coming I'd say.

A good amount of Snow fell on the Napier - Taupo road today.
Kaweka will definitely have snow on it as a result.

Thanks chaps. Snow on the Rimutakas tonight too. Craigc and I went out and got a pig, and the chill factor in the wind was extreme. Poor little Grandson got very cold in-spite of his good gear, so I had to walk out with him a bit early. Craig got back to the ute after dark and found us in it with the motor running and heater on.
It looks like I might have left my Kaweka walk about a bit late.
