Good to see you looking at a solid calibre for your first hunting rifle Rodsta – I never had a 308 but I rate them highly - a close friend has used one for forty years – from meat hunting to running a safari operation
I started with 30.06 then went to 270 which I still use for reds but now have a T3 in 243 for fallow – my T3 has a Loopy V1 – but Burris is highly rated
That looks like a good package – you wouldn’t regret having any of that kit
If you do a deal with H&F in Hamilton – you should be able to negotiate a better set of rings – try for Optilocks – they did it for me – they will lap the rings to fit the scope perfectly - a process that is really worth while
The picture of the rifle on the box shows a seven shot magazine – they are difficult to get your hand around and you are better with the smaller three shot magazine which only just protrudes from the stock
The T3 has a somewhat noisy long action bolt – one size fits all calibres with a modification of the magazine to suit various calibres – the 308 is a mid-size calibre
If the rifle has to go down to Palmy Nth to get the Dan Hardy suppressor fitted – pay a little extra and get him to fit the half-cock with the extra safety catch hole – allows you to chamber a round quietly when close to an animal and keep the bolt half open and extra locked with the safety
Some people hate half-cockers – but some old fullas hate safety catches
Great idea to use a suppressor on any large calibre rifle – reduces both recoil and noise considerably – look after your hearing while you can – with a Dan-can
    Good luck
