anyone doing anything exciting for the xmas break!

we are in the middle of buying another property which is a bad time of the year to do so. because most firms close down. during xmas and new year my crew are heading off over to the east coast for abit of trout fishing, and maybe the odd hunt. hope the weather is going to be ok. the storms comming from the north may be a pain in the bum tho. grrrrr.

SK, my plans with my family will be weather dependent as well. If the weather is fine then it will involve parking the family at a DoC camp ground in close proximity to a favorite hunt area.

Hubby and I are both working more than ever including Christmas day. We are having an 'orphans Christmas' drinks at my place in the evening though for people like us who are working away from family.

We'll be heading up to Blenheim/Wairau valley to stay with the sister-in-laws family. We (me and the gadgettes) will have a go at the rabbits that are getting out of hand, and maybe get a chance at a deer or pig. Probably head through to Nelson for a day off the farm. Hope they have some broken gear I can fix too, so I can crank up my old welder that lives there now. Just for sentimental reasons.

Its fun and relaxing, and that good sense of accomplishment you get when you take off your mask to see a perfect weld.

Or if the middle of winter and getting hypothermic see I've been shaking too much and grab the grinder. Be right this time of year though.

That would be cool Dean, we could get in a day hunt. I can't remeber whether I showed you the Mangamate Falls camp at Minginui but it is easy enough to find.

Nothing planned - packing in anticipation of move back to AKL. I really dislike being in employment limbo! Hopefully meet up with SpudAttack at some point and shoot some clays, AK etc.
