    Anyone for a hunt?

I've recently moved back north from Southland (west Otago if we're being real picky) and I need to get out and start hunting again. I'm going stir crazy on this flat boring ground just north of Oamaru and so is my dog Bo. Have gone from shooting deer off my lawn to nothing, zilch, nada... Would anyone been keen to link up for a day or two next weekend? (2nd, 3rd, 4th sept) I can't even make up my mind where to go or what to do, would travel an hour or two north or south or inland if anyone has some bright ideas for a quick overnighter or even a day hunt or two? Have a 4wd and need to get Bo out and onto some critters again so must be somewhere dog friendly. Chams, deer, tahr. Open to suggestions and not adverse to going solo either just struggling to motivate myself a bit!

Has anyone been up the Macaulay lately? Went up and camped at the confluence where the north branch comes in a couple years back and wouldn't mind getting back in there again, everyone else drives past up to the hut
