Thread: Anyone Hunting AKL Anniversary/Waitangi Weekends? Upper North Island

Hey guys - as above. Hope this post is OK - will remove if not.

I have both weeks for AKL Anniversary weekend and Waitangi Weekend (29th Jan to 11th Feb) off on leave and was wondering if anyone is planning to or interested in getting out for a couple of days.

I'm a newbie, and will be my first outing so obviously dependent on you tolerating a rookie! Have done a HUNTS course, and have been chomping at the bit to get out there for some practical learning since, but not confident to hit the bush solo just yet

What I lack in experience I make up for in eagerness to get out there and learn more - happy to just tag a long and observe and carry some weight if it comes to it - so any veterans who want someone to pack weight for them feel free to consider it

Am based in AKL, but happy to put in some miles anywhere within reach.
