When we flew into block a father and son were coming out .
They found this Rifle down in the swamp walking thru the scrub.
Its a lever action 308 savage model with a Tascoe scope
we left it hanging in the hut.
Its a long shot as its unknown how long its been laying there but anyone looking for it or have a story?
Sorry about photo size as I have no idea how to make it smaller

I am assuming that firearms are not registered with the Central Government in NZ?

A good chance Chris or Arthur from the old Air Charter Taupo would know who flew out without one. Anyone have a contact number for them?

Did it move enough to check chamber?

Wonder how it got there? A bolt or a mag you can kinda see how, but a whole bloody 308 rifle?!

It's a 308 savage with a tasco scope it's not hard to see why it was left in a swap

I think you are all wrong slagging scope. It looks to have survived very well. From the evidence of the photo I will be replacing all my scopes with Tascos in the future.

The mag counter may help tell if it's loaded or not if you can see the numbers that is

Ha ha. Some time back I bought a rifle with a Tasco Proghorn 4x on it. The scope seemed quite clear but whether it answered the helm or not I never found out as I gave it away. The right and proper thing to do...
