It's true. There was a meeting last Friday about it at the Town Hall up near woodhill forest.

People have also gotten letters saying that they will have their deer shot by regional council shooters.

    Sad?It's another travesty
So what, have they got rid of all the rats in auckland and looking for something to do with the balance of the funds?
Not likely, just another misappropriation of public funds.
    What justification?
    NZ TB free?
When is the last time there was a confirmed case of bovine TB anywhere?
    Who even makes these decisions?

It's fucking relentless, poisoning and exterminating more and more of our game animals/herds,all of which are part of our heritage, many of them gifts from foreign countries, dignitaries, etc
Taking our fish off us and decimating the stocks and marine environment.

Change in status of the herd from the old Auckland Regional Council 2007-2012 Regional Pest Management Strategy and the new Auckland Council Proposed Regional Pest Management Plan 2019-2020 no longer protects the herd and allows for the culling.

    Old, see printed page 123.

These are publicly consulted documents, so unless you or your group knew to make a submission to keep the protection, its been and gone.

I know Woodhill is private land.
What I meant was that we no longer have public land,we have a conservation estate.
Which is required to generate revenue

I took on Taupo Coucil publicly a few years ago when I realised the coucillors had not followed public consultation rules and laws. I suggest you Auckland people get hokd of every conversation leadingvup to and including the council meetings pertaining by using the OIMA. You are entitled to obtain all and every conversation that ANY council staff had at any time keading up to this matter. These include casual discusdions as well as phone calls to staff. Im sure you know what to look for. Get stuck in. I wont be surprised if you find lots of interesting compromising details.

In Taupo I calked for the dismissal of several councillors. This did not happen but I believe they were subjected to a training course in correct proceedures.
You guys might be able to rock the acc boat pretty well
