Thread: Awatere Hut

Hey guys, hope all is well with you all,

Planning a trip into Awatere Hut next week and just wondering if anyone has been up there recently and what state the road is in due to logging and also the hut. Also wondering how deep the creek is this time of year to cross.

Road is sweet two the bottom of the hill.
Creek is fine.

And trampers at this time.awatere is worth a look now good luck. All I will say is your nuts won't want to talk to you if you wet them in that creek this weekend,there is a fair bit of melt in there at the moment.

I met 2 guys coming out of that way 2 weeks ago. They said they saw 9 but didn't shoot any. There was another hunter down there also. Just be careful of log trucks if you go in in the day time in the week.
