Talk to your local supermarket. I used to get their dated/mouldy blocks of cheese (be a tidy kiwi and take the wrappers home to dispose of!) and just throw them around your likely spot.
Worked for me!
Think shooting position, discretion from other hunters, and ease of recovery when identifying your baiting spot
And be prepared for a loooong night. And park your truck well away
Don't tell me where you are throwing dated moldy cheese, I would probably get shot by mistake as I scavenged for it.
