Heading down Bendigo area for a look around.
Anyone here hunt down there? Not looking for peoples spots, but just a general of how accurate the doc labeling is for what to hunt? Like some blocks are just saying goats, but not far is fallow. Is it a small fallow herd around those parts?

Yup I've there are goats up there. More rabbits than you can shake a stick at too.
When it gets light I'll look out the office window and see if there is much snow up the hill.

Any thoughts on Bendigo hunting? Would be awesome to look at some animals whilst freezing my tits off in the snow.

was down there every morning last week...some of the days were rather warm,the NW wind was a tad bothersome.... didnt realise there was a hunting block there.

Not really. If there is going to be rain on the West Coast it will be nor-west in central Otago (or anywhere east of the divide). Which will mean it will be a lot warmer than a nice frosty high, but it gusts all over the place and makes hunting a bit tricky as it enviably ends up blowing your scent all around. Any deer I got when a NW is blowing always feels like a fluke as it really hard to pick a direction of travel.Quote:
