Pretty dam wet here today so sitting at home wondering wot is the best factory amo for a 223 in regard to goats, pigs, and the odd sika and red deer. Have just got hold of a 223' with 1 in 8 twist rate so I was thinking the heavier projectiles, rather than the 55grain. I have never had a 223. Before, so any info about this would be appreciated. Cheers. I don't load my own.....yet.
I see you are not far away. Do you ever get over to the Coromandel its not far???.

I just finished running up a batch of a hundred Nosler solid base, boat tail 55gr last night.
I loaded about 50 60gr nosler partition a years ago but didn't like them as they didn't seemed to be as effective as the faster more explosive 55gr.
I was given 100 Federal factory rounds, 55gr Hi-Shok, and I have used those over the last year. They killed every thing I shot but I don't like them or trust them as much as my reloads.
