Bulls across the valley ( cattle ) were howling all last week..with the chill in the air ….warmed up and everyone shut up shop, saw a beauty of a fallow on the back of a quad being dragged home.
Go well all you bone hunters, may the weather gods give you fine days, and action a plenty.

TRYING to get motivated enough to get rifle out of cabinet.....got next two days free and areas to hunt within two hours drive...but freezers are full enough abd I really dont like crowds. stay safe out there folks.

Heading out tomorrow eve for two to three days depending on success. I hope the ground is not going to be too crunchy.
weve had light rain on and off here most of the day....need a couple of weeks worth but will take any we can get.

Normally take last week of April off,few days chasing Sika off Clements rd then back Thursday,gear up for opening of duck season and roll out Friday lunchtime to camp Friday night at the lake I hunt.best time of the year I reakon.
Managed to shoot a young hind Friday . Nothing else. So packed up at lunch time. Will head out again next weekend. Hopefully the big boys will be in full swing.
