    Best time for Chamois

What would be the best time of the year to hunt Chamois. I have heard of some being hunted in the river bottoms. Is there a time of year that the Chamois are easier to see and easier to hunt. I would like to hunt Chamois in the near future. Hunting an area with horn rot is fine with me. I just want to take the species. I am from the USA, this is why I ask. Can some of you accomplished Chamois hunters help me out. I will be hunting with a bow. I did a DIY hunt for Tahr 2 years ago, and took a small bull. I do plan on trying to take a bigger bull Tahr after I get a Chamois.

Anytime theres not too much snow on the West Coast. They are lower down in the spring. They range from the tops to the beaches in South Westland.

Keep in touch, if I am around and you decide to hunt the coast, I'll get you out for a cham or a bull.

That sounds great, I will keep in touch. I have an outstanding place to hunt the largest Black Bears in the states. No problem taking 19 1/2 - 20 inch skulls. We can put together a hunt if a Black Bear is on your list.

No worries Kirk. Black Bears are not on my list, mate. Big whitetail, muleys and moose are though.
