    big old bull

3 mates and I Spent 5 miserable days in a rock bivvy talking rubbish, drinking coffee and smoking darts. Alpine adventures warned us not to go but we had to make the most of the ballot. The party before us only lasted one night and then pulled pin on the job! So yeah 5 days of snow, driving rain, gale force wind, thunder and lightning was making cabin fever kick in! but we did managed a couple days of hunting which was gold. We were in the adams wilderness area on the west coast so it had to be expected. Nearly killed ourselves a couple of times retrieving bulls off bluffs but that had to be expected. Bloody ice/snow on the rocks and bluffs make it a bit tricky etc. Saw approx 60 odd tahr for the 2 days, and plenty of good bulls. Ended up with four bulls to take home, smallest being 11.5' and a big old boy that went 14.5' and one good bull is still sitting on a bluff unfortunately. We had the 7mms out in force and All the boys done good clean shots on the bulls too which makes things easy. It is truely stunning country up around those areas and certainly tests your gear and ya character! Bloody great trip all the same, with 3 top blokes. bring on the tahr rut next year. Hope some of you guys had luck in your ballots. Cheers. Cam.

    Brilliant
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

it's great to see had the "staying power" under the conditions, and got a well deserved result.
