i use leupold yosemite binos and leupold 800i tbr range finder, both are bloody awesome. not too pricey either
Yea was at h&f and was looking at those but they told me bout the fusions and said they are bloody good too,and have some good features,H&F didn't have any in stock for me to look at but I told them to get some in for me to play around with
Leica geovids. Best of both worlds.
I don't mind the crf1600. I find the 7X zoom is pretty good.
Ahhh never thought about the geovids:-)
Yea I don't want to get ripped off but I'll need both before march but can't decide!!so many options,
How far do you need to range?
Played with some 20,000m models at show - bino versions
I have some 1500m models if u want to try them

1500m is plenty as I couldn't shoot that far haha are they binos and rangefinders?
Using a s/hand pair of bushnell fusions. the weight can be annoying at times but prefer it to having two toys.
Fare game,I would be keen to try some out, what have you got on offer mate:-)
If you can afford the $1600 for fusions it might be worth seeing if you can stretch another $400ish for some second hand geovids
They are a monocular design - the 20k units where binos... (tanks anyone)
Newcon Optik LRM1500M Rangefinder
$599 if you don't like them - I'll take them back no worries
I would stick to your plan of buying some fusions. For hunters they are hard to go past. They have an awesome range finder and inclinometer in them which is all you really need.
Glass is not top of the line but it is bloody good enough. They are not over priced so they do not have to be wrapped in cotton wool. I really liked mine.
IMHO they are a great bit of kit to use and apart from the size are as useful as any of the high end binos in regards to hunting. I have a set of swaro el range now but apart from the size I could easily go back to fusions.
After a while you may find you want something else and you can buy a set of the high end RF binos like Zeiss, swaro or leica
Personally, I would never buy a second hand set of Leicas in NZ. They would have likely been used as a target, in a huge circle jerk:D New in a sealed package should be fine.;)
I think you mean Bukkake?

Ha Ha Ha Jeez Toby, what I said was bad enough! :D:thumbsup: Must be raining in Wairoa?
Finding something in the bino's, then rangefinder, then rifle scope can be way too hard if your only reference is "next to the brown bush" :P
Circle jeck ? some military term maybe ? Bukkake I'm to afraid to click the link, I think I probably get arrested and youporn? is that just another word for mirror?
I don't even know if youporn is a actual site tbh
Just checked it is
You didnt check

Didn't take long for this thread to turn dodgy hahaha
Haha.
I now just use the Leica 1600's and leave my bino's at home. Total pain in the ass taking both, and the glass and zoom is good enough. Anything I want a closer look at I just use my rifle scope.
Yea I don't want to be carting around both, will try out fare games monos and see what there like,I'm counting down til my trip in march so need something before then
My old man has just recently bought a pair of the Bussnell 1 mile ACR binos and i have used them a bit. Binos them selves are very clear and give a crisp image, i find the range finder also very good, however due to the weight of the rig it can be difficult to stabilise the binos enough to get a reading, particularly at long range. However this is very rear and is usually not a problem, other than that they are an awesome piece of equipment bar the price.

If you buy glasses with rangefinder included check the warranty, some only have 12 months. Where glasses on their own are lifetime warranty.
This convinced me to buy quality glasses and a separate rangefinder.
