Thread: Black cat.

Went hunting today near mangatutu hot springs "spot x" ... I lay down in some long grass and was glassing through my rifle scope when is saw a "dog"
I thought it was a dog untill i looked harder and it was a black cat like animal about the size of a staffy with a long black tail. Just curious has anyone seen anything like this before or is every one going to think i am crazy?

No photo it freaked me out to much. i was watching about 5 or so rabbits sitting in the grass and then they all started bolting. Then this massive animal walked out of the trees and walked across clearing and into bush on the other side... Whats this kaimanawa panther?
