Yup I agree. I don't think deer would hunt a bird.
I just found it interesting that the bird came flying out pretty startled then seconds later the deer popped out. Quite possibly its completely unrelated in that event. But the number of times I have near stepped on them and they take off (gives you the shits hahaha ), i thought maybe the deer may have near stepped on it and thats why it left. Either way, it alerted me to that area and then the deer stepped out into the clear. if only it was a hind so I could have taken it.
