I think the key to blaze be it orange, blue or whatever is to have a vibrant colour. If it starts to fade off, then replace with a new one

I think bald dogs nut are more striking Rushy, hairy ones blend in. But we get what you're saying.
And I agree, it is very good blaze orange.
Showed a friend who is colour blind this photo to see how he saw blaze orange
He said he couldn't tell what colour it was. He even said he thought my arms were green! Obviously colour blindness differs but for this guy the orange blaze would be useless. He also reckoned my blue thermals were brighter than the top.

I think you will find that someone with colour blindness hunts with a lot more caution than we do. There was an article in one of the hunting mags by a colour blind hunter. One of the big rule - always identify your target
