    Bowhunting tourism

    Hi.

I’m a Danish bowhunter looking to visit New Zealand for a solo hunting experience; hopefully I will be going in 2016 if time allows (job, family etc.)

at this stage I'm researching the possible hunting areas

I’m hoping to hunt Goats, pigs and maybe red and/or fallow deer. It would also be awesome to get a thar but I guess it’s extremely difficult to hunt in the mountains with a bow. (I prefer shooting at distances less than 35 meters)

I don’t expect you to give me your own favorite spots, but I would appreciate a hint to which DOC-areas would give me the highest chance of success.

    Best regards

Hey there welcome.....don't know much about bow hunting.. Never done it and never will. Give me a shooting iron anyday, at least most of the time when u squeeze that trigger the animal falls over dead unless u are a crap shot. Dont know about them bows and arrows tho.
