all my life I've been hunting pigs , my experience tells me that the secret is to know the power of the gun we carry and know close to the dam at the correct distance .I have hunted with cartridges caliber 12/70 loaded with slugs , . 223 , 308 , 30.06 up to 375 H&H ,I have also hunted with dogs and a simple knife ,I have given ample evidence in this forum ,and any hunting what is going to make of partridge, duck or pigeon always carry my 223 because the possibility of coming up with a big game prey is always latent in my country
