    Cabin fever

So for the last week me & my mate have been hanging around the house , the alarms have been set but each morning we wake up to either rain or gusty wind or both & a sleep in never really works either with pesky kids especially for my mate he sleeps in the lounge so he,s the first target they stumble across
Anyway decided a walk was in order so at 4pm we were off hoping for a break in the weather , well it never came gusty wind , water from all angles & cold but it had been like it for a few days so the deer have to eat rite ! working on that theory set forth it wasn't long before I was complaining about my already soggy toilet paper from wiping the scope , reg had a slightly better system of wrapping the scope in his swannie , crusing along we spotted a hind which was perfect as with the roar pretty much done I found it a little refreshing to just be looking for some meat BOOM reg shot the hind & 3 or 4 others that were unseen bolted from the edge of a clearing after gutting it for latter collection carried on this time I was in the lead with the 22-250 after around a K I spotted what appeared to be a spiker scooting along a game trail but it disappeared quickly & was hard to tell what it was in the gloom but was confidant we hadn't spooked it so we carried on , rounded a corner & here was a young stag head down feeding front on so I shot him in the top of the neck at 50m after 2 lengthy carries we got them down to the track & onto the deck of the truck heading down the bumpy road I could see headlights approaching we pulled over & heres an old friend , first thing he said was poaching bastards & cabin fever was driving him loco so he,d been out & caught 2 pigs I hadn't had a feed of pork in ages so one followed me home that man will be getting some beer
