    The caravan Stag

Just read an article in Stuff about a bloke that has a caravan Awakiri Hot Springs near Whakatane.
Well he heard a commotion out side and went to investigate. He found a stag backing into his caravan awning while it was being baled up by dogs. The stag proceeded to drop dead on the spot. Several minutes later two hunters turned up to claim the deer.
After some photos the stag was loaded onto their truck and they departed with the promise to return later with some venison for the caravan owner.
The hunters returned with venison for the caravan owner and due to the amount he had to give some of the it away. They also said they would return later with some sausages.
Its good to here that there are still some descent blokes out there.

It still requires skill in my opinion. Having to learn where they run to. Shooting whilst they're zig zagging etc is not what I would call a walk in the park.

Most rusa stags are spotlighted or dogged
