About LinkBacksHey guys,
I just got back from a 4 day hunt. Had no luck at all. I hunted the Tongarirro national park deep into the 42nd traverse and that area. Saw no fresh sign what so ever!
Has anyone here had experience hunting the Ruapehu area that could give me a few pointers on where to hunt? Its hard to find access to private land!

Hey bro why not try the Kaimanawas? I'm no expert on them but it doesn't take much to trump no sign whatsoever over 4 days! Thats nasty

Hi Dylan.
Good on you for getting out there.
If you live in Ohakune you have some great hunting right on your door step. Explore the mountain at the bush line and cover a lot of ground looking for sign. When you find it the deer won't be far away.

Going for a bush stalk tomorrow morning. Walking from the Ruapehu Mountain Road straight into the bush towards horopito.
