I googled it, so could have quite easily got this wrong , had a measure and I'm not going to break any records . According to the googled page , you measure ech horn add together 10 + 10 then measure the girth at the base 3.5 + 3.5 add all together . 27 . Was only interested as had been bird shooting with an interesting old bugger the other week , he told me he used to hild the record for the best horns for years. That got me curious . Dont quote me on this but it looks like they only start measuring at 10 inchs ?
No "bill ". Would have been back in deer culling days
You have to take the shortest length and double it and the smallest base and double it.
Length is over the front of the horn from the base to the tip and bases are measured right round at the very bottom.
If your Cham is 10 inch then it is a goodie i think that is the bench mark for a trophy head.
Malhunting has got it sorted.
Chamois seem to be getting plenty of hunting pressure.
10 inch bucks appear to be getting harder to find. Most hunters will be happy with 9"+, once you got a 9" look for a 10". If you keep hunting them 11" or better will keep most hunters happy
