Hi all, anyone know who has the lease for Chris’s old blocks in the Ahimaniwa now? Can they still be booked?

Helisika I believe.
I’d hate to know how much Helisika are charging people to go in there
Not Chris's old blocks but interesting:

Lakeland used to have these blocks.
As an aside. I got a price pre roar from Helisika to fly into the Back Ridge area by myself:
$2020 incl GST for the H500 (max 400kg payload) + DOC land fees of $50.60 each. :wtfsmilie:
Bring back Chris!
Chris's Ahimanawa blocks have been leased to a consortium of hunters as private Hunting blocks.
I agree bring back Chris!

@Tahr, what dates were you looking at ?
B
Might have missed that one.
hey there Nimrod, are you in the know who the consortium are and if they allow outsiders access? and how are they getting into the blocks?
Never mind this private block malarky- I miss your hunting stories @NIMROD :)
Correct on both counts

@NIMROD
Replaced the Macpac Ravine? :)
Nimrod.
Just out of interest what size is that fly, make, material type etc ..
Quit a good looking setup.
Is that rifle going to slide off that post......
Can I ask what the rifle is? It looks like a Forbes .308 I used to have
Thanks for that
The coating on my Forbes was showing quite a bit of wear so sanded it back and repainted in what looks a similar colour to your Kimber
Still have another Forbes 7mm/08 that my son hunts with and I have a Kimber Hunter which has grown on me and is shooting well
