Unfortunately that's a pretty common occurrence anywhere around the Central North Island , the rubbish that's dumped around Kinleith is especially bad. The problem is a lot of us are fuckwits and think this shit is ok. We'd occasionally be finishing a silage job late into the night/morning on Taharua & Clements Rd's and the amount of vehicles that head into Clements well after dark is surprising.
Looks to be goat skins or were they whole carcasses? If they are I would say they've been dumped as I haven't come across goats in the Clements area.
Looks like multiple Sika and a pig skin to me , there is a young fuckwit that lives on Clements mill rd
Sadly, this is not uncommon behaviour these days. Not just as in this example but including urban rubbish dumped on quieter roadsides, in parks, on farmers lands.
I despair to some degree. Where in hell did we go wrong on this in NZ ? Some years ago this hardly ever happened but I would say it's rampant now in places. Surely people are not so apathetic they cannot see how wrong this is. How do some of us even live with ourselves in condoning this ? I get so pissed off sometimes on my hikes around where I live I actually spend some time picking up shit to put it into rubbish bins. Some people are so damn lazy they can't even walk 50 yds from their vehicles to use a litter bin so crap is just dropped onto the roadside.
I wish I knew how to turn this around and motivate people to behave decently. I can't help thinking some serious arse kicking would help immensely but probably also starting with rubbish disposal education for schoolkids might be a necessary step.
And, no apologies for my rant. This is a bad situation.
I think they are the skins from the sika lodges fence.
Maybe they cleaned their shit up but in the process make a mess of the road
Agree. 20 years ago we visited both island on two separate trip. Place was amazing. Clean, pristine. It's a real shame to see that happening in NZ
I never leave skins etc within public view. It's bad form.
Over here I'm afraid it's terrible. I'll be going out in a couple of days. Just a couple of short walks. Expect to pick up a few stubbies or cans to take back to rubbish bins. Do it almost every trip. It's unforgivable what some grotts are getting away with.
Hunt safe, look after the bush & plug more pests. The greatest invention in the history of man is beer.

A bit more bang is better.
Yes man, I was there on September 06 and they looked JUST dropped then, I often spend a night on the way in just opposite on that little flat, but som mongrel ZEALOUS huah has dug out the entrance...buggered that idea so ooh well I will go into the Mill clearing, not long settled in there and a car load of KNUCKLE-DRAGGING, drunken weed heads, smoking crack pipes arrived, yelling and screaming, took over the fire right beside my van!!! Time for me to leave, so back to Taupo before I did something unintelligent!!!
Yea noticed someone had dug up the little side rd spot as well, all Sika and pig skins from what I could see.
