Two Grandsons & I will be back in again this Monday anybody been in recently, with any good oil puuhlease!!! Cheers Guys...p.s. if ya see my little White Toymota at the old Mill area say gidday!!

how did you get on?.... heading in on 2nd march for a quick look

Both grandsons spooked hinds up the ridge right opposite the Mill camp, two of us went up again two days later and spotted a good fresh stamp at about 700metres...the next day the younger spotted a hind down the track just past the 'Long Mile' [Kakapo}
However no lead thrown but the rifles got some good exersise....!! Good luck Scotty..

probably gonna be one of those weekends where plans will have to be fluid.......

ha! no..... had a plan but didnt produce the goods.... heading up the ridge , 100 metres from the road dog brought a hind down to us at a rate of knots .... too fast to get a clean shot spooked another further up ... couple of hours stalking to the ridgeline and over to some headguts .....logjams and deadfall and ongaonga in the creek heads....... 5 and a half hours to get back down, spooked another too noisey........still worth it dog gets better every trip .the waikato tasted good when we got back to camp . very dry up high fck all rubbing plenty of sign stag and hind...and not many people down there .......might go back for a may hunt if there are any stragglers left.

They sure sneaky little buggas..Yep real dry up the top so most were closer to the road on our trip...I'm heading back in after QB weekend, usually a few round and on other trips some of the boys are still squealing and whistling...just like me 'better luck next time'..cheers Scotty
