Thread: Coast Access Radio - Conversations - Pest Control

Back in August I visited the office of Coast Access Radio in Waikanae too discuss promoting Canada Goose culling in the Kapiti region.

Nec Minute, Graeme has me sitting in a recording studio talking about all manner of things to do with pest animal eradication. I've tossed up whether to put this out on the Forum but decided this week I would because some people have asked me about how to get started in pest control. How I go about community engagement to avoid Armed Offenders call-outs and how to deal with irate, stroppy neighbours who love little fluffy rabbits and hate the sound of a 12 gauge. There is also a bit of a book review.

Coast Access Radio is one of twelve local, community based radio stations. Anything recorded at one studio goes into a knowledge pool and could be played by any of the other twelve stations. I would be interest to hear if this has played on your local radio?

NOTE TO SELF: YES! I know I got the date wrong when possum were introduced into NZ. It wasn't 1924 as stated, it was actually (successfully) 1850 odd. My error.
