    Cold snap

    About time ! Is been warm n/w but we just had a cold front through this evening . Bring on the roar ! Screw work , I'm off .

    I have it on good authority that they have been roaring mate. Will be out this weekend. They've been roaring in the farms for a couple of weeks and friends have had them roaring in the bush.

    No stags , for a big effort on to the tops ,( mixed bag of weather even snow ) , looks like we got a good chammy photo . Caught him napping ,got within 50 mts of him , he stood up and stood broad Side on for ages . Funny how they do that when you have no intention of shooting them . My mate is cropping photo so will put up if it's good enough .

    Yep it has definitely been colder up here the last couple of mornings. Bodes well for next weekend. They should be making noise this time.
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

    Yes we got a nice wee dusting of the white stuff , was cold as hell ! . Found three nice wallows that hadn't been used for two or more weeks and all marks and sign two weeks older or more . The buggers must have been with hinds down lower ? . Might be worth a look after the roar , as there was heaps and heaps of feed .

    Yep go back up there when they have finished rooting and start eating properly again Munsey
