I went back to see family for the first time in years last July/August helping with grain harvest on the family farm 30 miles north of London.
I saw more deer on this visit than ever compared to the previous 40 years. Occasionly used to see Muntjac and knew they were always around but this time saw numerous Fallow and even one that confused me for a while which turned out to be a Chinese Water Deer. Yes the supplies would run out much sooner than here but definitely been a change in the old country with changed farming practices (wilding etc) and government/councils not spending on clearing scrub land due to cut backs.
