That long ridge is looking SW? From or near the hut Andy? The hut on a sort of plateau?

A good smattering of young and old in that team Andy. Well done on the four you bowled over.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Yep the sun gives it away.that is Aorangi in the back ground.
We let one chick come to do the cooking and cleaning but she kept on wanting to come hunting so that was a fail!

The hut is at 1000m and Aorangi is on the east boundary of the rangatikei river just below the mangaohane bridge.
I think the rop of Aorangi is 4020ft above sealevel from memory and has large numbers of red deer and a few japos as well.it is privately owned maori land that you can pay to hunt with out guides.

Sorry vc.we should of had at least another 3 on the deck but the young fellas dropped the ball with unloaded mags and laughing deer and then we tried to get closer to three nice stags that were at 750 but with truck loads of wind and not enough time to walk that the motor bke starting up turned them into fast moving mobile targets!
All good though the young fellas got a couple anyway!

Surely there has got to be more than a decade or two between the young fellah on the right and the joker in the orange shirt or has he just had a hard row to hoe?
