Would have thought a distance from home would have been better

Northland is like 5-6 hours long

Lots of people may live in one zone and it’s 10 mins to the spot in another zone

At least it’s only meant to be 2 weeks

Keep in mind that "regional" travel is mostly mentioned in relation to work.

When it comes to recreation, everything I've seen has got the "keep it local" bit added to it.

In the examples they give, they mention things like "go to the closest beach, not your favorite" etc.

I suspect the cops are still going to be stopping people and asking questions. If your trip is for work, all good, if it is for recreation - not so sure.

More than likely enforcement will turn into a cluster. I very seriously doubt they will be able to do it in a way that seems logical and consistent to most people.

I guess what I am saying is if you think you are going to be driving around to the furthest reaches of you region for recreation, you may well come away disappointed.

P.S. don't shoot the messenger, I am not enjoying this enforced lockdown any more than you

It seems very open to interpretation. I would think most will be reasonable and rational but making it more detailed would help people when they are making a call and trying to do the right thing while still stretch their legs. Who was consulted when they came up with this? All the best folks. At least we can dust a rifle off as of Tuesday. Anything is better than nothing ay.

Yea I reckon everyone will just think it's back to normal.
Been noticing steadily increasing activity around here over the last week or so.
I think people feel they have"done their bit" now and are over it

Yep you may well be right. There has been a lot of talk on here about peoples rights and the rules being too tough. And that people can self manage. I guess as of tomorrow we will find out if the whole population can be big boys and girls and act responsibly. Here's hoping.

Can confirm that traffic on my suburban street has been back to normal since the announcement of level change, constant stream of cars now instead of the 1 car every half hour or so that was a week ago.

I would love to share your optimism
BUT people will go visit others bit by bit they will progressively get away with stuff normalize it and carry on as before
Good luck expecting people to observe social distancing I’m seeing it flouted the past week reinforcing my belief that a lot of people are brain dead morons —my pick if ya want some free entertainment is to observe the inevitable circus that will be fast food drive throughs tomorrow
I just pity the poor staff and the shite they will have to tolerate
