I'd be pretty happy to have her as a hunting partner There will always be some tree hugger somewhere ready to burn someone at the stake.

Yeah it's bullshit but after Hunters getting smashed for last few years by the rainbow-vegan-PETA-Ultra left brigade, it makes me wonder why these people post such to Facebook or Instagram?

It's like waving a piece of non-queer deer meat in front of a radical feminist vegan lesbian....guaranteed meltdowns from the "offended clueless masses".

Yea mate, the world has gone mad. I was just thinking today while out for a wander, it wasn't that many years ago when politicians were'nt interested in how far up a riverbed you could drive. Nor did they care that much about how many trout or salmon there were in the rivers. Rabbits, goats, deer pigs and tahr were just a bloody nuisance politically, but Rabbit/Pest boards and the Forest service took care of all that.
Now every white collared bastard is an expert, even though most of them would never have cradled a rifle or spent hours on a river trying to catch a salmon.
Yip, times have changed and the world has gone mad.

    Yup, ain't that the truth.

Just spent 2 hours putting together a "goat control plan" for a reasonable area of private land so we can justify going out and reducing the number of stinkies that are eating the neighbours vege gardens. In past years we used that rare commodity "commonsense" and did the job without drama, without a 3-page risk assessment, without upsetting anybody and without death or injury. Except to the goats of course.

I believe there will come a time when all of this BS will have to stop. Unfortunately I don't think it will happen in my remaining lifetime.... but in order for stuff to actually 'happen' it will have to end. I also ponder how this BS manages to continue evolving in this manner and it is clear we must blame those of you in your 30's and 40's. I say this because those of us in our 50's clearly don't agree with it and nobody I talk to condones these notions. Horrifically, I'm probably now old-school and out-dated.

Where did all this BS start? I'll tell you! It started with a clever sales plan. A very clever sales plan. At the time it was sold to thousands, probably millions of companies as a way to get into an "exclusive group" of like-minded companies so you could be seen as having a conscience - even if you didn't. It was called ISO 1000. And it earned some clever people millions of dollars. It was pure BS of course, but it grew to unmanageable proportions. The legacy continues and its getting out of hand.

It will be the demise of humanity.

True @7mmwsm. But why post publicly on social media? It's amazing how many people just have no idea but will jump to abuse. "You killed that animal so you deserve to be killed, My leather shoes and supermarket meat is organic and humane though" Right....that seems so logical.

Farrrrk I hate trolls and keyboard warriors. But even more so the hypocritical ones.

Sadly we live in an age where you "must" be offended by something in order to appear valid apparently

A Scottish Government spokesman said: "We fully understand why so many people find these images of hunted animals being held up as trophies so upsetting.

"Responsible and appropriate culling of animals is a necessary part of sustainable land management and the culling of some wild animals, including deer and goats, is not illegal.

"However, we understand the concerns raised by these images and, in light of them, the Environment Secretary will review the situation and consider whether any clarification of or changes to the law might be required."

That has to be one of the most pathetic statement from a government anywhere.. really pandering to a bunch of sad snowflakes? I am glad my forefathers left that place long ago.

I always thought that social media created idiots, but social media has given all the fuckheads, dumbshit's and cry babies an outlet to vent their pathetic views on the world. Some people are not happy unless they are slagging off others going about their normal life.

I think it is very different as this is a forum dedicated to hunting and shooting. If someone joined this forum only to start shit they probably wouldn't get far.
Haven't had Facebook myself for many years (and couldn't care less) so only see the shite 2nd hand.

Point was more along the lines of so many people getting slammed for posting on "major" social media platforms and these people still put kills up etc. Seems daft to myself

Wife's mate posted something on the web about some yank that shot a giraffe .
I asked how many sausages it would make and would they taste ok.
She agreed with me about killing to eat being ok but went on about people taking selfies
    I sent her this.
    No reply so far
