Its a buzz alright.

My old man never shot an animal with a scoped rifle in his entire life and he continually fed a family of six with Venison and Pork through hunting.

I now have his DMW Mauser in 300 Savage, it has had an aperture sight on it since he bought it in 1952 and will still knock them over from 3 ft to 300 yards without any special effort.

I have two other iron sighted rifles I hunt with and for up close and personally they just can't be beat.
