Note that aerial application of 1080 CARROT BAITS will occur shortly after 5th May the week after Kaingaroa opens for hunting season.
1080 Carrots decimate quail and pheasant populations and poisoned rabbits can migrate a km out of poison boundaries. Bird and pig hunters dogs are at high risk anywhere near these areas , also companion or any dog for that matter.

I won't be going there.

what absolute piss poor timing.....

I had started this in the Hunting section because it afffects hunters and their dogs and safety. Somebody has shifted it to the shooting " thread which is innappropriate and I am pissed off about this shift of my post.

is just as relevant if not more so in gamebird section......

Pig dogs are at ateast the same risk as bird dogs and so are HUNTERS who consume the pork or venison or rabbit or hare or gamebirds. It should remain in the HUNTING THREAD . Not in a "shooting" thread. Mods have stuffed up.

@gimp @jakewire will you PLEASE redirect this thread into gamebird section AND hunting section so folks dont get thier dogs killed....
