Thread: Danish hunter looking for NZ hunter friend

Hallo Guys,
So I understand that I am too late to apply for a 'Visitor Firearm License'.... So my dream of going to the mountains and live in the wild had a bump in the way....
However I understand that if I find a NZ hunter, I can come with them and hunt with them.
I am coming to NZ from 7. February until 13. March 2024. My wish is to hunt Chamosis and Tahr. Also stags if that is the only possibility?
Is there any of you who want a Danish hunter friend to join them? I am 26y, openminded and speak fluent English.
I have a lot hunting experience due to my age and have been hunting in different counties already.

I can't help you with tahr or chamois, but if you were in the lower north island I could get you out for an animal or two.

if your in the timaru/south canterbury area should be able to sort something out .i dont shoot chamois but should be able to get you on to thar and deer

Fallow deer, red deer, goats and rabbits would be a mix of public land and private. I would be reasonably flexible with time, it would just be a matter of tying in with the weather.

i should be free most weekends. weekend of 10-11 feb or 17-18 works i think . will be going looking for stags with the wife should be ok for you to come along. normally a lot of thar where we will be .

MagnusDenmark, you should pop over to the introduction page and post a bit about yourself, perhaps even post up a few photos of hunts you’ve been on rather then just pop up asking to be taken out.
