Hi Guys.
For those of you who know me, will know I frequent the Ruahines and the Kawakas, as being in the north island you will struggle to get much better Public land Hunting. Anyway we have moved to the Waikato and today I went to one of my old stomping grounds I have not been to for a few years. This spot will always be a special one cos it is where I got my last Hunting dog caspers first deer.
Anyway today I wanted to stretch the legs and take Zac for a decent hunt and what an awesome day. Saw a couple of deer at 753 yards but way to windy to shoot, tried to close the gap but had moved on by the time I got there. Went back to what I know best and went Bush. Zac did a stellar job and got me right into a couple passing through a feed zone but could not get a clear shot. Just saw 2 white rumps cruising by.
I have to say well done to the kaimai volunteer group whome did up the below hut. After being involved in a few do ups myself I know what goes into it and these guys have done a stellar job. Zac and I will be back that is for real.
Cheers
VTR
