Thanks to Micky Duck for a heads up day out with my kids. (5 and 7 years old)

I wanted the kids to at least see something for their first time efforts. And it was quite an effort they put in getting there.

They were rewarded at the top sitting a few meters away from a Wallaby for a few minutes while Dad fumbled about assembling the rifle albeit too slowly.

Hope to get them out there or a similar place again soon to keep them into it.

Meet @SAUM and his kids at range on Sunday and must agree they are hard case but so well behaved they are a delight to be with.
They are a credit to the parents and they will go far.

This has me thinking that there may be value in a thread about taking kids hunting tips, locations, ect.

For me, im planning my kids' first trip. Ideally, for rabbits or shooting the .22. Or just as a tag along for some other game to get the experience.

It's just awesome that my girls are keen.

Im sure theres a few of us in the same boat or have the experience to share.

The problem with a lot of the wallaby blocks is the distance and elevation required to get to the animals. The spot @SAUM went to is a bloody good effort by his kids to get up to and still be happy. Well done, they sounds like they are real troopers.
Another pat on the back for @Micky Duck, he's given so many people advice on where they can take there kids for a look around over the years.

Here is a video of my kid's impression of a Wallaby sunbathing (we saw one on a mount sunning itself)
