    DEEP SOUTH ROAR 2013?

I have just found out that i have to be in Wanaka on the 30th March next year for the Jet sprint racing on the new track.
I have to be in Whanganui by the 13th Aprill for the Jet sprint finals and will loose some time in travel
While im there im thinking of investagating some south island stags.
Any one got any sugestions? where? when do the stags start up down there? Stewart island? Otago?west coast on the way home?

Ideas people... What have you got....
Please keep in mind i have only been ther once some 10 years ago.

Hey thanks .. was starting to think my post was invisable.. When do the stags normaly start down there? I know up here i can bounce from areas that i know roar early or late and it seems to be within a few days of the year before.

Im also looking into the lower fiordland areas..

I will be living out of my 4x4 wagon for a few weeks so am hoping the weather is good.

Big boys seem to always start early but it is a bit of a lottery as to exactly when. They will be going in the high country before the start of April in my experience. Coastal stags will go a bit later.
I have been on the turps in Makarora and heard wild ones going a couple weeks into March.
Doesnt matter if they are roaring or not if you find where one is camped, do your homework and you should get a look at him.
Do what ya want! Ya will anyway.

What class are you running? I've got a friend who used to Nav in superboats & a mate who won Lites a couple of years ago. Fun sport.

We are only in the Lites ..
I dont know a huge amount about it all. Im Only learning
All i can tell you is that it uses about 6L of av gass in 60 seconds , the motor is realy loud and there is no hook on the roll cage for my wakeboard rope!... Oh and if we shorten the dipstick it holds more oil!
Should be a good season.... im still not sure what i have signed on for realy.
