Thread: Deer on the side of the road

Geoff Kerr (who used to be on here I think, or was it the other forum) had a whole swag of "trophies" he'd "shot" with a camera from the main roads, like State Highways - Tahr, Reds (there was a bloody beaut stag for a road in the Kaikoura area) and Fallow . . . .

It's that time of year again, the grass will be growing spring flush etc and the deer will be out munching on it.



Someone has been busy....

A while ago I drove down the road just like anyone else and I spied some deer skins hanging on the fence so I stopped the car and took a couple of photos. I counted 50 deer skins... Obviously there were a few deer hanging around before they were put onto the fence.

Good luck to whoever put them there, a reflection on the amount of deer that are out there.
