    From what I have read the swedes knew how to make a great rifle and the ones I have seen about were all in the 700-900 bracket and they almost looked new, given they were all at least 40 years old I thought them good value for money compared to the rugers and all the other budget rifles in a similar price range.

    Can you elaborate on that a bit LR308? I'm saving for a brand spanking 6.5, but undecided on make & model as yet. Wondering about latest Sauer or Mauser. When you say "Stoke the shit out of it", what do you mean. Want to share your favourite loads?
