as a Ranger the rubbish we picked up - very satisfying when one found old bills- doctors invoices etc and could pin it back on someone - even better the reaction when they were confronted -but many on here are right the cost of getting rid of rubbish does lead the great unwashed to take the easy option - sad one operation we did at a rural Scenic Reserve much of the rubbish we could trace was from locals - We used to do a flying operation in Te Urewera to all our remote pads- camp sites and in a week fly out at least 6 helicopter loads - a lot of that was black polythene left behind - but a lot of cans etc to
There will be a lot more black polythene now since Tuhoe burnt all the huts
