Glad I did not give any indication as this would have spoiled the surprise.

This is very weird ? How can it be that us mere mortals know something about the issues on this particular rifle....

Conclusion: We must all be high because the rifle manufacturer has denied the existence of this known problem. Let us not even speak about the Gun dealer in the City.

Please collect your gun we wont be helping you. But you saw the problem and confirmed it is wrong? Sorry thats that.
And Sako? Thy say nothing wrong.
I showed you the problem and we can still replicate? No sorry we cant help you.
Can I speak to somebody about this? Sorry the store manager has spoken and remember we ar the Gun dealer in the City!
Did you see the multiple links on the web about this same problem?
Sorry will there be anything els??

No never again will there be anything els for you from my side Gun dealer in the City and SAKO NZ.

No support, no decency, no feedback.

    So let me be clear:

The intention was only to share my experience. And hopefully save somebody some trouble down the road.

    All the info was given.

What exactly is the issue ? Feeding issue / dropping rounds

What has been done by the retailer ? Nothing after thy send rifle to importer they refused to give any further feedback/advice or comment

What has been done by the importer/manufacturer ? The issue was shown to the store and on return from importer re confirmed in the store. Importer say nothing wrong.

Why is this unacceptable ? I would say because the only thing I would have loved was to get some after-sale service for the large amount of $ spend?

I hope this helps those wo want to know the specifics. Although we can spend all our time and money fighting a battle my real question is why are we not getting any service?

Apologies to all those that feel this wasted there time.

My intention was to highlight the service problem and not to go into a long battle with the supplier.

Sometimes one buys a bad product from a bad supplier.

    Apologies for the confusion.

And again thanks for your willingness to help.

Seems that there is a general alignment that bad service is the standard and that you have to be willing to go through a lengthy process to get some?

Have only heard shit things with Beretta NZ and getting them to come to the party is like getting blood from a stone. That was enough to put me off buying anything new sako.

Businesses can and do change. Things don't have to stay the same.
Hardy was a good example. There has been quite a turn around in service and products.

Getting the right people into the public facing side of the business is key. There is an old adage that businesses forget (or don't know); "a complaint is a gift".

This is a pretty weird thread though. A complaint about a complaint that wasn't complaining about the fault that was a secret
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.

A lot of people don't live on forums. When they come on here, its like they are talking with an accent. The Gun shop in the City has a known problem for after sales service. And feeding issues are the worst to fix. But approaching the distributor would not be the way to go, he has no business relationaship with them, He will have to deal with the Gunshop in the City, and a letter mentioning consumer gaurantees act, and a replacement or returning money. (They had a chance to fix it.)

What about my mates very expensive Sako with a stock so sticky you are put off touching it...NZ agents were very helpful though......"don't buy a new Sako stock it will cost almost as much as the complete rifle. Yes they have been known to go like that, but probably something the owner has not done right, better to buy an after market stock to fix the problem...... "

Well I'm sure if he had known this was an issue he would not have bought it, and of course there was no offer to do more than offer helpful advice......

If it was mine we would be in the Disputes Tribunal....that might make them a bit more responsive...!

Good chance you’re being played fellas.

It’s a sad fact of life that we are surrounded by full on weirdos. The whole approach to this thread feels off.
@Bedaar, sorry mate if this is a genuine problem but do you understand that we’ve had so much shit here from fuck wits over the last couple of years that some of us are pretty cynical about low post count posters starting threads that can spark up old animosities.

So here’s a suggestion. If you are genuine, please film a short video of your problem with the rifle and posted on here so we can see what you are on about.

If you don’t do this then I am going to assume you’re just another retard with an axe to grind.

Fair call @Flyblown. @Bedaar, here is your chance to set the record straight and your name. Before the 'rot' sets in.

Hi @Bedaar - sorry I am not part of the service/warranty team and am away on leave with COVID so have not heard about this. However i have just logged into the work system and have seen the job notes for your rifle (im guessing it is a Sako S20 308??) if so, the team loaded the magazine 3 times and tried to replicate the noted problem in our bullet trap without success. This is why it would have been sent back to the retailer.

However, as guesture of goodwill, I will arrange to have a new magazine sent to you free of charge. Hopfully this sorts any further issues.

    Thanks

    Henry

Is there not some issues with the feeding of the 10 rounds mag where as the 5 rounds mag is feeding fine?
A culler I know got reed of his S20 because of that particular issue with his 10 rounds mags.
