    doc maps for hunting areas

just wondering if any one else gas this problem or am I doing something wrong when I go to the doc sight and apply for a hunting permit theres an option to look at a map that shows the hunting area shaded in green and theres an option to view the map small or large when I view it on large its the same size as the small one and not even clear enough to see accurately the area any way making it bigger with the computer settings makes it worse all you end up with is a picture of a part of nz with some green blobs on it and no accurate way of locating the exact area cheers

Wams and koordinates work well. The detail on the wams maps outstrips google earth and koordinates by far.

Click on hunting section on doc, right side of page click on maps, filter to topo at top right of map, filter doc hunting on left side then just zoom in to whatever area as per Google maps. Bloody simple and heaps of detail.

Here's something I learnt about using Doc maps an wams. If you zoom out while on wams to the same scale as the doc one then click on a reference on the map using the co-ordinate tool you'll be able to get exact boundary lines on the map or saved to the GPS.
