    I rode in today from Ruakokopatuna down to Sutherland's Hut then up the hill to the ridge and spotted this sad looking fella on the track between the "497" and Hurupi

    Someone, presumably the owner, had left a wooden box at the Patuna entry end - if this is your dog he was alive today.

    i know a few people that go in that area so ill ask. im heading in there myself on wed so ill see if hes been picked up.

    Looks lost, confused and bewildered. I hope your good deed results in him finding home.
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

    He/she will be looking for him, he has a tracking collar on- wont want to replace that. Obviously didnt work as well as it should tho..

    Good news Gibo - there was another one that ran ahead of me going down CNut Hill towards Sutherlands Hut but I only got a quick look -B&W Border Collie I think but I'm pretty useless with dog ID - I'd thought it was with someone but didn't see anyone else all day.
    No pic, I was trying not to arse off
